UAE Government Approves AED 4.62 Billion Housing Benefits Package For Citizens Ahead Of Eid Al Adha
Under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, acting as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has sanctioned a housing benefits package valued at AED4.62 billion. This initiative will benefit 3,052 Emirati citizens throughout the emirate.
The package includes housing loans worth AED4.4 billion for 2,862 citizens and loan repayment exemptions totaling AED212 million for 190 citizens. These exemptions are aimed at limited-income retirees and beneficiaries of deceased citizens. The second housing package for 2025 is being distributed ahead of Eid Al Adha, reflecting the leadership's dedication to comprehensive development.

This initiative aims to enhance the wellbeing and stability of Emirati families, enabling them to contribute actively to national progress. It aligns with the UAE Year of Community objectives, which focus on strengthening social cohesion and community solidarity. With this package, the total housing benefits provided to Abu Dhabi citizens in 2025 reach AED11.38 billion.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, expressed gratitude towards the leadership for their support in advancing the housing sector. He stated, "The new housing benefits package reflects the leadership’s commitment to empowering citizens through the provision of quality housing that promotes family stability and elevates quality of life."
Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, highlighted that this second housing package showcases the leadership's strategic vision for a prosperous future. He noted that it enhances quality of life by providing sustainable housing solutions tailored to meet Emirati citizens' needs and aspirations.
The recent endorsement also includes an additional community support subsidy of AED250,000 for existing beneficiaries of housing loans. This subsidy offers a reduction of up to 50 per cent in monthly loan instalments along with various other services and facilities.
