UAE Government Approves AED 6.75 Billion Housing Benefits Package For Citizens Before Eid Al Fitr
Under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has sanctioned a housing benefits package valued at AED6.75 billion. This initiative will support 4,356 Emirati citizens throughout the emirate.
The package includes housing loans worth AED5.08 billion for 3,172 citizens and land grants and ready-built houses valued at AED1.585 billion for 1,100 citizens. Additionally, it offers exemptions from housing loan repayments exceeding AED94.8 million to benefit 84 senior citizens, limited-income retirees, and beneficiaries of deceased citizens.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the wellbeing and social stability of Emirati families. The leadership aims to create an environment that meets citizens' aspirations and encourages their active participation in nation-building.
Since the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority's inception, over 123,000 housing benefits have been provided to citizens in Abu Dhabi, amounting to approximately AED168.85 billion. The first housing package of 2025 is being distributed ahead of Eid Al Fitr.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, expressed gratitude to the leadership for their unwavering commitment to providing high living standards for citizens. "We extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan," he stated.
He further emphasised that these directives reflect a commitment to fulfilling citizens' housing needs and improving their quality of life. Such initiatives are crucial in strengthening social cohesion across Abu Dhabi.

Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, highlighted the leadership's dedication to ensuring dignified living standards for Emirati families as a top priority. "This new housing benefits package embodies our leadership’s ongoing dedication," he said.
The package aligns with comprehensive development goals and the Year of Community initiative by promoting social cohesion and emphasising adequate housing's role in building a stable society.
The authority continuously works on enhancing its programmes and services to facilitate access to suitable housing for citizens. This effort contributes significantly to advancing the emirate’s housing sector in line with the leadership’s vision for a prosperous future.
