Hazza Bin Zayed Highlights Youth Development During Visit To Al Fakhr Winter Camp For Martyrs’ Sons

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, recently visited the Al Fakhr Winter Camp for martyrs’ sons in Remah. This camp, organised by the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office at the Presidential Court, runs until 12th December 2025. It is held in collaboration with the Emirates Falconers’ Club and Mohamed bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School (FDPS).

The camp hosts 63 sons of martyrs aged 12-16, offering a diverse programme. Participants engage in educational sessions on Emirati customs and traditions, falconry workshops, and Arabic coffee preparation. They also enjoy sports, recreational activities, heritage experiences, scientific talent-development programmes, and healthy nutrition awareness sessions.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised that supporting the sons of martyrs is a national priority under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership. He highlighted that this commitment is evident through initiatives that nurture skills and inspire creativity among UAE fallen heroes' children.

During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Hazza observed various camp activities. These included an educational session on Houbara bustards' importance and conservation techniques, conducted with the International Fund for Houbara Conservation. He also attended sporting events like a football competition and an interactive virtual reality hunting experience.

The winter camp receives support from several prominent organisations focused on youth leadership development. These include the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan was accompanied by Sheikh Zayed bin Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abdulla Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Director of the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office during his visit to the camp.
