Hazza Bin Zayed Celebrates Cultural Heritage At Al Ain Camel Racing Festival 2025

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, attended the final round of the Al Ain Camel Racing Festival 2025 at Al Rawda Camel Racetrack. The event featured the hagayeg category over a three-kilometre distance. Fakhr, owned by Suhail Hamad bin Qareen Al Ameri, won the Open Young Female Camel Cup, while Al Mawj, owned by Rashed Mohammed bin Marshoud, triumphed in the Young Male Camel category.

Sheikh Hazza praised the winners for their exceptional performances and acknowledged the high level of competition at the festival. He emphasised that camel racing is a vital part of the UAE’s cultural heritage and highlighted its significance for future generations. This event reflects participants' dedication to preserving this national sport.

The event was attended by notable figures including Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Board Chairman of the Presidential Flight; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Abdulla Mubarak Al Muhairi, Acting Director-General of Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority; several officials from the camel racing sector; and numerous camel owners, trainers, and enthusiasts.

Organisation and Prizes

The 2025 Al Ain Camel Racing Festival was organised by the Presidential Camels and Camel Racing Affairs Centre under the supervision of the Camel Racing Association at Al Rawda Camel Racetrack in Al Ain Region. The festival offered valuable prizes for participants and included special trophy races across various age categories.
