H.H. Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum Inaugurates Arabplast 2025 Exhibition In Dubai

The "Arabplast 2025" exhibition was inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. This event is the largest in the Middle East and North Africa for plastics, petrochemicals, rubber, sustainable industries, and the circular economy.

Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum explored the exhibition, which features 12 international pavilions. These include those from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Italy, China, and India, along with major Gulf pavilions. He learned about cutting-edge technologies that bolster the plastics and petrochemical sectors and received insights from officials of leading companies across Gulf, Arab, and European nations.

Arabplast 2025 Exhibition Opens in Dubai

Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum highlighted that hosting this exhibition in its 17th session underscores Dubai's prominence as a key hub for major exhibitions. The emirate plays a vital role in fostering industry growth and modern technology partnerships. It serves as a nexus for industrial professionals, business leaders, and investors from diverse fields.

The Arabplast Exhibition is crucial as it bolsters the petrochemical, plastic, and rubber sectors. These industries are significant contributors to economic expansion globally. The event also strengthens international collaborations in these fields and offers a strategic platform for participants to discover innovative solutions and advanced technologies.

Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum commended Arabplast's global reputation and its growing number of participating countries annually. He praised the exhibition's commitment to promoting sustainability practices within the petrochemical and plastics sectors. The event emphasises environmentally friendly technologies and supports recycling initiatives alongside circular economy strategies.

Nidal Mohammed Kadar, the exhibition manager, noted that over 750 exhibitors from 35 countries are participating until January 9. These include nations such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Austria, China, Egypt, Germany, Italy, India, South Korea, Switzerland, Vietnam, and Jordan.

Petrochemicals' Economic Impact

Kadar mentioned that petrochemicals derived from oil and gas are integral to everyday products like packaging materials, plastics, clothing items, detergents, and tyres. According to an International Energy Agency study he cited: "Petrochemicals have become the largest driver of global demand for oil."

He further stated that plastics and petrochemical industries will be pivotal in driving economic growth for oil-producing nations in upcoming years.

The Arabplast 2025 exhibition showcases Dubai's strategic importance in supporting industrial advancements while emphasising sustainability within key economic sectors.
