Hamdan Bin Zayed Highlights UAE Industrial Growth At 4th Make It In The Emirates Exhibition
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, highlighted the UAE's emergence as a key centre for advanced industries. This progress is attributed to the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During his visit to the Make it in the Emirates exhibition at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the leadership's commitment to bolstering the industrial sector with skilled national talent.
The Make it in the Emirates exhibition serves as a strategic platform for showcasing the UAE's industrial advancements. It gathers senior decision-makers, government and private sector officials, entrepreneurs, investors, industrialists, experts, and financiers. The event underscores the importance of innovation and advanced industry in building a sustainable national economy.
During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan launched Serh Group, a leader in oil and gas operations, logistics services, and manpower supply in the UAE. The launch ceremony also introduced Serh Group’s new corporate identity and logo. The design is inspired by the resilient Serh tree, symbolising strength and sustainability in the UAE’s natural environment.
A significant agreement was announced between Serh Group and ADNOC, valued at AED2 billion. Over five years, Serh will supply ADNOC with equipment and machinery to support its energy projects. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC, attended the signing along with Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Chairman of Serh Group.
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber commented on this partnership: "In line with the leadership’s directives to support economic, industrial, and logistical growth in the UAE, ADNOC is pleased to expand and strengthen its cooperation with Serh Group. This partnership reaffirms our commitment to building strong and collaborative alliances that support our strategic objectives. Together, we will explore new opportunities that deliver long-term value and drive growth for both ADNOC and Serh Group."
Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi expressed pride in their new identity: "The launch of our new identity marks a significant milestone in our journey as we provide integrated, innovative, and sustainable solutions to our clients in the oil and gas, logistics, and manpower sectors. Our legacy of excellence and deep expertise positions us to lead and grow in service of the UAE’s industrial and economic development."
Evolution of Serh Group
Serh Group evolved from a merger between Al Dhafra Cooperative Society and Delma Cooperative Society. These societies were established by Emiri Decrees from Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1976 and 1981 respectively. Over time, they have become trusted providers of integrated services supporting Abu Dhabi’s economic development.
The group draws inspiration from the century-old Serh tree known for its resilience in the UAE environment. This symbol reflects their commitment to moving forward confidently towards a sustainable future while honouring their roots.
Sheikh Hamdan expressed pride in witnessing national achievements at Make it in the Emirates. He affirmed that this initiative aligns with leadership’s vision for an innovative economy driven by advanced industries.
