The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has revealed the winners of the Innovators 2024 competition. After evaluating projects that reached the final stage and were implemented, winners were chosen based on creativity, social impact, execution quality, and innovation efficiency.
Among the winners were Abdullah Ahmed Al Hammadi and Fatima Rashid Awad with their project Aboory. Mohammed Adnan Mohammed and Ardzin Nathaniel Omaldi were recognised for MindSync. Nabeel Nadeem Al Qadi, Alaa Salah Abdulaziz, and Youssef Rasim Al Shaki won for their Smart Modular Shading System.

Dr. Khalifa Ali Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Foundation, expressed his excitement about the results of this competition cycle. He noted that it started in June last year with 137 students from various UAE schools participating. "The performance showcased a remarkable level of skills and knowledge among students," he said.
The competition's aim is to inspire students to think creatively and provide an environment where their ideas can become real projects. Out of 137 teams, 45 met the criteria, with 20 advancing to the first evaluation phase. Nine teams moved to the final implementation stage, resulting in three winning teams.
Encouragement awards such as the "Sustainability Award" and "Community Service Award" will be announced later. All winning teams will be honoured at a grand ceremony during Innovation Week in February 2025.
The competition seeks to expand its reach by encouraging more students to engage in creative thinking. It aims to transform innovative ideas into practical solutions that can benefit society.
This initiative highlights the importance of nurturing young talent in fields that require innovative solutions. The foundation continues to support educational advancements through such competitions.
