Hamdan Bin Mohammed Reviews Military Units At Al Dhafra Air Base In Abu Dhabi
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, recently visited Al Dhafra Air Base in Abu Dhabi. During his visit, he assessed military units' operational readiness and examined efforts to enhance the nation's defence capabilities. His arrival was greeted by Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, and Major General Staff Pilot Rashed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander of the UAE Air Force and Air Defence.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan praised the Armed Forces for their discipline and operational excellence across all units. He highlighted their professionalism and continuous development in adopting advanced technologies. "The advancements in both human and technological capabilities, along with ongoing training and modernisation, prove that our Armed Forces are fully equipped to maintain battlefield superiority and readiness to tackle any challenge, at any time," H.H. Sheikh Hamdan said.
The tour included a visit to the Air Warfare Centre where H.H. Sheikh Hamdan received a detailed briefing on its mission. The centre plays a crucial role in advancing missile defence capabilities through cutting-edge programmes in training, simulation, and testing. Efforts to localise specialised defence knowledge were also highlighted during the presentation.
During his tour of the base facilities, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on command and control systems as well as logistical and technical support infrastructure. These elements reflect the advanced capabilities of the Air Force. He noted the dedication and efficiency observed during his visit, emphasising significant efforts in building a robust defence infrastructure that ensures national protection.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan commended the progress made by the national workforce in mastering modern military technologies. He stressed that UAE's security is a shared responsibility requiring constant preparedness. His Highness acknowledged the importance of continuous development in maintaining readiness for any potential challenges.
At the conclusion of his visit, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan expressed gratitude towards all members of the Air Force and Air Defence for their exemplary dedication and commitment. He lauded their efforts in serving the nation, safeguarding its achievements, and ensuring its security at all times.
