Hamdan Bin Mohammed And Kuwait’s Prime Minister Discuss Strategic Cooperation To Enhance Bilateral Relations

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, met with His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait. This meeting took place during Sheikh Hamdan's official visit to Kuwait. They discussed enhancing cooperation to support the development goals of both nations.

The leaders highlighted the robust partnership between their countries. They noted significant progress in political, economic, cultural, and social areas. The importance of mutual visits was stressed as a means to boost cooperation and identify future opportunities.

Enhancing Bilateral Relations with Kuwait

Sheikh Hamdan praised Kuwait's development strategy, particularly the ‘Kuwait Vision 2035’ plan. He stated that this plan reflects Kuwait’s readiness for future opportunities. The UAE shares a similar vision, focusing on a knowledge-based economy and investing in its people.

The meeting also explored ways to expand cooperation across various sectors. Economic relations between the UAE and Kuwait are growing, evidenced by increased trade exchanges and traveller numbers. Investments span financial services, banking, insurance, IT, and real estate.

The two sides emphasised the need for enhanced coordination at all levels. This would involve exchanging expertise and ideas to strengthen bilateral relations further. Such synergy is expected to contribute significantly to the prosperity of both countries.

Both leaders acknowledged shared ambitions and visions for the future. They recognised abundant opportunities for closer cooperation to achieve strategic objectives related to comprehensive development.

Economic Growth and Connectivity

The UAE ranks third in direct foreign investment flows into Kuwait, reinforcing their bilateral relationship. Additionally, 131 flights connect the two countries weekly, boosting commercial, tourism, and social ties.

The leaders underscored the importance of fostering increased cooperation through various means. This includes sharing expertise and visions to enhance bilateral relations further.

The meeting concluded with an agreement on the potential for broader collaboration across diverse sectors. Both nations are committed to supporting each other's development goals through strengthened partnerships.
