Hamdan Bin Mohammed Chairs Defence Council Meeting To Strengthen UAE's Military Strategies And Capabilities

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, led a Defence Council meeting. He highlighted the need for enhanced collaboration and teamwork to realise the leadership's vision for strengthening the UAE's defence capabilities. The focus was on improving military strategies and boosting capabilities across various departments within the Ministry.

During his visit to the National Defence College in Abu Dhabi, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan was welcomed by Brigadier General Saeed Hassan Al Yamahi, Commander of the College, alongside senior officials. He received an overview of the academic programmes available to both military and civilian personnel, which aim to cultivate future national leaders.

The meeting underscored the importance of developing institutional strategies to enhance defence capabilities. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan praised President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his unwavering support in equipping all units with advanced defence systems and technologies, ensuring their readiness to serve the nation effectively.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan met with officers participating in the 12th National Defence Course (2024–2025) during his visit. They discussed their academic experiences, and he reiterated the leadership's commitment to excellence in all areas of national service.

The National Defence College is recognised as a leading institution for developing strategic thinking and fostering cooperation between military and civilian sectors. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasised its crucial role in preparing national leaders with the skills needed to make informed decisions and protect national achievements while addressing future challenges.

Accompanying H.H. Sheikh Hamdan were Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Lieutenant General Engineer Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence; along with other senior officers and officials from the Ministry.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan acknowledged the college's contribution to advancing strategic thought and enhancing cooperation between military and civilian institutions. This collaboration is vital for preparing leaders who can navigate complex challenges while safeguarding national interests.
