Hamdan Bin Mohammed Emphasises Artificial Intelligence's Transformative Role At Dubai Assembly For AI 2025
Artificial intelligence is now a crucial element in many industries, according to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. He highlighted that Dubai, under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was an early adopter of AI's transformative power. Today, the city stands as a global centre for AI innovation and expertise.
The ‘Dubai Assembly for AI’ is part of Dubai AI Week 2025, running from 21st to 25th April. It gathers industry leaders and officials from global tech firms to discuss AI's future. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan visited the event, which features cutting-edge technologies from companies like Meta and Teslasuit, along with innovative projects from 60 startups worldwide.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan stressed the importance of international cooperation in maximising AI's benefits and its positive societal impact. "This is the age of artificial intelligence," he stated. He expressed pride in welcoming global AI experts to explore new technological frontiers, drive growth, and improve life quality.
The event includes delegations from countries such as South Korea, Canada, India, Australia, Germany, Italy, and the United States. Various global companies and government entities are also present alongside startups showcasing their solutions across different AI domains.
The opening day featured over 50 sessions and workshops by leading AI companies. Discussions covered countries' experiences investing in AI-driven entrepreneurship and opportunities for youth and women in AI. The role of AI in enhancing digital content and preserving cultural heritage was also explored.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the first day of the assembly alongside Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi and Omar Sultan Al Olama. Several senior officials were also present at this significant gathering.
