Hamdan Bin Mohamed Meets Crown Prince Of Kuwait To Strengthen Bilateral Relations And Cooperation
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, recently visited Kuwait. He met with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait. This meeting was part of an official visit by a high-level UAE delegation. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing the strategic partnership between the two nations.
The meeting took place at Bayan Palace and aimed to bolster cooperation across various sectors. Both leaders emphasised the importance of mutual interests and joint Gulf cooperation efforts. Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, these discussions are expected to yield positive outcomes.
The UAE is a significant trade partner for Kuwait, ranking second globally after China. In 2023, non-oil trade between the two countries reached AED45.7 billion, marking an 18.8% increase from 2021. During the first half of this year alone, trade amounted to AED23.6 billion. Expectations are high for continued growth in mutual trade through 2024.
Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the exceptional level of cooperation between the UAE and Kuwait. He praised Kuwait's progress under its Emir's leadership and acknowledged achievements within the National Plan and Kuwait Vision 2035 framework. He expressed his hopes for Kuwait's continued security, stability, and prosperity.
The Crown Prince of Dubai expressed optimism about future collaboration between the two nations in various fields such as trade, economy, tourism, and investment. He stressed the importance of mutual visits to explore new avenues for cooperation at both government and private sector levels.
Both sides also discussed recent regional and global developments during their meeting. They addressed efforts to overcome challenges while enhancing security and stability in the region. The positive outcomes from effective cooperation reflect growing political relations that benefit shared interests and strengthen Gulf unity.
Sheikh Hamdan underscored ample opportunities available for investors, companies, and entrepreneurs in both countries. He emphasised that increased collaboration would further enhance partnerships across different sectors.

Following their discussions at Bayan Palace, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan attended a luncheon hosted by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. During this eventful visit to Kuwait’s capital city-state palace grounds complex area known as Bayan Palace Complex Area (BPCA), he expressed gratitude towards Kuwaiti leadership for their warm welcome and generous hospitality extended throughout his stay there.
