Mohammed Bin Rashid Tours Gulfood 2026: Dubai Hosts World’s Largest Food And Beverage Expo
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has toured the 31st edition of Gulfood at the Dubai World Trade Centre, as the event reaches its largest scale so far. The visit highlights Dubai’s role in global food and beverage trade. It also underlines the UAE’s broader economic links with worldwide food markets.
The current Gulfood edition brings together more than 8,500 exhibitors from about 195 countries, displaying over 1.5 million food and beverage products across the full value chain. The exhibition runs until 30 January at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with a parallel programme at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stated that the UAE continues to back global food sector development by promoting an integrated setting for innovation and new technologies. The approach aims to raise efficiency in production and trade, and to build more resilient and sustainable food systems that can better withstand changing global conditions.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid noted that strong international participation at Gulfood shows confidence in Dubai as a business centre and as a venue for major industry exhibitions. The emirate’s position in linking markets, improving supply chain efficiency, and supporting a sector that contributes to global economic growth was also underlined during the discussions.
During the tour, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and Helal Saeed Almarri. The delegation visited several national and corporate pavilions, reviewed new products and technologies, and received briefings on innovation, supply chain developments, and changing global market demands.
