Gulfood 2024 Elevates Dubai As Global Hub For Food Industry Innovation
Food industry leaders from around the globe have gathered at Gulfood 2024 in Dubai, marking a significant event in the calendar from 19-23 February 2024. This premier event, hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), stands as the largest annual international gathering for food and beverage sourcing, attracting over 5,500 exhibitors and visitors from more than 190 countries. Gulfood is renowned for its role in introducing groundbreaking food and beverage innovations and superfoods that are setting new trends in what we eat and drink.
Among the highlights of Gulfood are the demonstrations by an unparalleled assembly of Michelin-starred chefs and insightful discussions with industry thought leaders. These unique experiences offer attendees a chance to explore the future of food, uncover new business opportunities, and engage in partnerships that could shape the industry's trajectory. The event underscores DWTC's pivotal position in facilitating global industry interaction and knowledge exchange within the food sector.

DWTC has emerged as a central hub for Dubai’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector, significantly contributing to the emirate's economic development. This aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33's ambition to double Dubai’s economy size and elevate it among the top three urban economies globally within the next decade. Additionally, the Agenda aims to boost foreign trade to AED25.6 trillion by 2033.
In 2022, DWTC made remarkable strides by welcoming over 1.98 million participants across 244 MICE, business, and consumer events. These included 97 exhibitions and conferences, attracting more than 37,000 exhibiting companies, with an impressive 72% of these being international entities. The success of events like Gulfood plays a crucial role in achieving these ambitious economic goals by fostering international trade and innovation within the food industry.
The continued success of Gulfood not only highlights Dubai's leading role in the global food industry but also its strategic importance in driving economic growth through the MICE sector. As such, Gulfood 2024 is more than just an event; it's a platform for shaping the future of food and beverage worldwide.
