Gulf Air Expands Fleet With Order Of 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners At Dubai Airshow
Boeing and Gulf Air, Bahrain's national airline, have confirmed a firm order for 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. This agreement includes options for an additional three aircraft, as Gulf Air aims to enhance its international routes. The deal was formalised during the Dubai Airshow, with Martin Gauss of Gulf Air and Brad McMullen from Boeing signing the contract.
This new order increases Gulf Air's commitment by three more 787s since July, bringing their total order to 17 of these widebody jets. Khalid Husain Taqi, Chairman of Gulf Air Group, expressed that this move is crucial for the airline's long-term fleet development strategy.

He stated, "Today's signing marks a significant advancement in Gulf Air's long-term fleet development efforts. By confirming our acquisition of the Boeing 787 Dreamliners, we are accelerating our strategy to increase capacity, strengthen long-haul operations, and deliver an elevated, more sustainable travel experience to our passengers."
The addition of these aircraft is part of Gulf Air's plan to boost its capacity and improve its long-haul services. The airline aims to offer a better travel experience while maintaining sustainability. This agreement also reinforces the longstanding partnership between Gulf Air and Boeing, which has been instrumental in supporting the airline's growth over many years.
