Gridora Partners With Abu Dhabi Projects To Deliver AED 35 Billion In Transport Infrastructure Projects

Gridora, a new infrastructure platform formed by ADQ, IHC, and Modon Holding, has taken a significant step by signing its first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC). This agreement aims to deliver impactful transport infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. It signifies Gridora's commitment to advancing strategic infrastructure initiatives within the emirate.

The MoU sets the stage for Gridora and ADPIC to collaborate on developing, planning, and implementing key infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. A working committee will be established to explore opportunities and identify pilot projects. These initiatives will be selected from ADPIC's planned projects, which have an estimated value of at least AED 35 billion.

Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of Gridora, emphasised the importance of this collaboration. He stated that Gridora's resources would help deliver world-class infrastructure supporting Abu Dhabi's economic and population growth goals. "Our MoU with ADPIC reflects our shared commitment to accelerate the implementation of critical transport infrastructure, combining innovation, scale and vision," he said.

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, highlighted the partnership's focus on enhancing Abu Dhabi’s growth as a global city. He noted that leveraging Gridora’s capabilities would speed up project delivery while improving cost efficiency. This collaboration aims to provide long-term value for Abu Dhabi and its communities.

Maysarah Mahmoud Eid, Director-General of ADPIC, expressed that infrastructure is crucial for economic growth and sustainability. The MoU with Gridora aligns with their commitment to delivering high-impact projects that improve connectivity across the emirate. By merging their strategic vision with Gridora’s delivery capabilities, they aim to shape a future-ready emirate aligned with Abu Dhabi’s long-term goals.

Bill O'Regan, Group CEO of Modon Holding, remarked on unlocking Gridora’s potential through this MoU. He looks forward to seeing Gridora advance with purpose in delivering cutting-edge infrastructure for world-class cities. This partnership is expected to ensure the long-term growth of the newly announced infrastructure platform.

Dual-Focus Business Model

Gridora operates under Modon Holding in partnership with ADQ and IHC. It serves as a strategic platform for collaboration with specialist partners and capital providers. This enables it to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects effectively. The platform follows a dual-focus business model covering ‘Infrastructure Projects’ and ‘Infrastructure Investments’, allowing it to lead across the entire lifecycle.

This MoU marks the beginning of several planned engagements aimed at advancing public-priority infrastructure projects. It also seeks to enhance collaboration between public and private sectors while showcasing the significant scale of Gridora’s operations.

The agreement between Gridora and ADPIC represents a pivotal moment in advancing Abu Dhabi's strategic vision through impactful transport infrastructure projects. As both entities work together, they aim to create sustainable growth opportunities while enhancing connectivity within the emirate.
