GPSSA Transforms Eight Key Services To Enhance Customer Experience And Reduce Processing Times
The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) has revamped eight essential customer services, significantly cutting down paperwork and processing times. This initiative is part of the UAE's Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, aimed at simplifying pension and social security management for insured individuals and employers.
Hind Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Pensions Sector and Head of the Zero Bureaucracy Team at GPSSA, explained that this transformation is a step towards redesigning government procedures. "These changes align with the principles of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme and the nation’s vision to reduce service-related requirements and procedures," she stated.

Al Suwaidi highlighted that digital transformation has allowed GPSSA to streamline processes by integrating with other government entities. This integration facilitates data exchange, reduces redundant steps, and simplifies current requirements, thereby shortening service completion times. The focus is on making the customer journey faster and more efficient.
The transformed services include various procedures such as contribution payment, employer registration, insured individual registration, insurance benefit disbursement for civilians and military personnel, beneficiary registration, issuance of certificates, and pension entitlement updates. These services are now more accessible due to strategic partnerships and digital initiatives on the "Ma'ashi" platform.
The GPSSA remains dedicated to continuous innovation to ensure its services are user-friendly, smart, and proactive. The Authority's efforts reflect a commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers while maintaining efficiency in service delivery.
Al Suwaidi further noted that these advancements are part of GPSSA's strategy to consolidate similar processes. By relying on stored records instead of requesting them repeatedly, unnecessary steps are eliminated. This proactive approach ensures a seamless experience for users with minimal effort required from their side.
This transformation aligns with the UAE's broader vision to enhance government service delivery through reduced bureaucracy. By focusing on ease and efficiency, GPSSA aims to provide a smooth experience for all stakeholders involved in pension and social security matters.
