GPSSA Board Reaffirms Commitment To Financial Stability And Enhanced Services For Emiratis
The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) is committed to enhancing insurance protection and financial stability for Emiratis. Mubarak Rashed Al Mansouri, the Chairman, emphasised GPSSA's dedication to maintaining a strong social safety net, promoting Emiratisation, advancing digital transformation, and supporting economic growth.
During the fourth Board meeting of 2025, Al Mansouri highlighted the authority's focus on financial sustainability through diversified investments and maintaining adequate liquidity to meet present and future obligations. He stressed the importance of delivering transparent, high-quality services in line with the UAE’s ambition to rank among the world’s top five governments in public service delivery.

As of August 2025, insurance coverage expanded significantly. The number of insured individuals reached 166,411, marking a 16 percent increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, registered employers rose by 47.6 percent to 27,235 over the same period. This growth reflects the success of Emiratisation policies and national programmes like Nafis.
Pensioners increased by 952 in August compared with the previous year, bringing the total to 21,673. Monthly pension payouts rose to AED486 million, up from AED458 million a year earlier. These figures underscore GPSSA's efforts in supporting Emirati employment in both private and public sectors.
The Board reviewed financial and operational performance for Q3 2025. They approved previous resolutions and sub-committee recommendations while discussing Q4 projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing performance and ensuring long-term pension sustainability. The extension of payment periods for merging service years was also reviewed.
This extension provides greater flexibility for working Emiratis and aligns with UAE leadership’s vision for a cohesive society under the "Year of Community". Such measures are crucial for supporting citizens' welfare while fostering economic stability.
Digital Transformation Efforts
Progress on digital services through the "Ma’ashi" platform was discussed during the meeting. Improvements in user experience and operational efficiency were highlighted as part of the UAE government’s wider push to streamline services and foster innovation.
The proactive registration services launched with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources have been instrumental in boosting Emirati employment in various sectors.
Al Mansouri's remarks during this meeting underscored GPSSA's commitment to sustaining a robust social safety net while advancing Emiratisation efforts. The authority remains focused on driving digital transformation initiatives that support economic growth across the nation.
