Global Media Congress 2024 Concludes In Abu Dhabi, Highlighting Innovation And Collaboration Among Media Leaders
The 3rd Global Media Congress (GMC) recently concluded in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Organised by ADNEC Group with Emirates News Agency (WAM), it served as a platform for media innovation and collaboration. The event gathered global leaders and media professionals to address challenges in the evolving digital landscape.
Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and UAE Media Council, highlighted the Congress's role in solidifying the UAE's position as a hub for global events. He emphasised the country's efforts in building a flexible media ecosystem supported by advanced digital infrastructure to nurture cultural industries.

Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Director-General of the National Media Office and Chairman of the GMC Organising Committee, noted that this year's event saw record participation. It attracted 840 media professionals and 218 organisations from 30 countries, underscoring its importance as a global hub for advancing media connections.
Humaid Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, stated: "The success of the 3rd edition of the Global Media Congress reflects our unwavering commitment to positioning Abu Dhabi as a global hub for innovation and excellence in the media industry." The Congress featured an extensive programme with 25,567 visitors participating. Attendees engaged in 96 discussion panels on industry trends, four keynote sessions by renowned speakers, eight Media Lab sessions on technology, and 25 interactive workshops. Six major conferences and 20 sessions on innovation further enriched the event.
Dr. Al Kaabi mentioned that white papers from this edition will be released soon. These documents represent a shared commitment to advancing an effective media industry that contributes positively to communities' futures.
Strategic Partnerships and Future Roadmap
The Congress outlined a roadmap for future media development, stressing collaboration, sustainability, and innovation. Strategic partnerships were deemed crucial for enhancing Arab media's global presence. Stronger collaboration between local and international institutions was also highlighted as essential.
