Global Indian Diaspora Forum For Good 2025 Launched By Sheikh Nahyan In Abu Dhabi

The Global Indian Diaspora Forum (Indiaspora) for Good 2025 was inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, in Abu Dhabi. The event saw participation from Sunjay Sudhir, the Indian Ambassador to the UAE, alongside global leaders. The forum's goal is to find innovative solutions to worldwide challenges and strengthen international cooperation in sustainable development.

Sheikh Nahyan praised the Indian diaspora's significant role in supporting economies and communities globally. He emphasised the forum's importance in enhancing UAE-India relations and addressing pressing global issues like responsible AI, climate resilience, infrastructure development, and philanthropy. "This summit is a significant event because it focuses on generating ideas and exchanging knowledge on the major issues facing the world," he stated.

He further remarked that hosting the summit in Abu Dhabi highlights the enduring friendship between India and the UAE. Many Indians reside in the UAE, contributing to its society's vibrancy. "We share a history of friendship and cooperation, built on common interests and values," he said. The forum underscores this special relationship, fostering mutual understanding and joint ventures.

The forum aims to mobilise efforts for global good by bringing together the Indian diaspora. It addresses challenges across various fields such as business, technology, medicine, culture, environment, security, education, and leadership. Although solving all global issues in three days is impossible, Sheikh Nahyan noted that new ideas will emerge from discussions.

Participants will engage in meaningful exchanges that enrich both their professional and personal lives. "I am pleased that you are experiencing this educational and developmental journey here in this great city," he added. The UAE serves as a dynamic hub for over two billion people across regions like the Middle East and South Asia.

Sheikh Nahyan highlighted that under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s leadership, the UAE has made remarkable progress in humanitarian efforts.
