ADAFSA Unveils Ghars Educational Platform To Enhance Digital Training At Global Food Week 2025
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has introduced the "Ghars Educational Platform" during Global Food Week 2025 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. This digital learning system aims to enhance training and advisory services in agriculture, livestock, food, aquaculture, apiculture, and One Health. It integrates e-learning with remote advisory features, supported by AI tools like smart chatbots and calculators for irrigation and profitability.
Initially available in Arabic and English, "Ghars" will soon include Hindi, Urdu, and Malayalam. This expansion aims to broaden access to educational content and promote global knowledge sharing. The platform seeks to connect professional and hobbyist farmers, facilitating the exchange of expertise in agriculture, livestock management, and food safety.

Dr Sayed Essam Al Hashmi of ADAFSA stated that "Ghars" aligns with the UAE's vision of using innovation to advance key sectors. He said it reflects ADAFSA’s dedication to strengthening applied knowledge in agriculture. "We designed Ghars to be flexible, interactive, and responsive to users’ needs," he added. The platform supports sectoral readiness through intelligent tools and specialised advisory services.
The platform offers a range of learning services like live training courses and a dynamic digital library. It includes remote consultations and personalised smart alerts. Interactive features such as a plant disease symptom identifier and an AI-powered chatbot provide instant answers to agricultural queries, enhancing user experience.
"Ghars" aligns with the "Plant the Emirates" Programme aimed at boosting local agricultural production. It promotes sustainable farming practices while fostering innovation and resource efficiency. Intelligent tools help optimise inputs, reduce environmental impact, and improve sustainability across the agricultural value chain.
The expanding digital library offers guidance documents, educational videos, infographics, and case studies. These resources are valuable for both professional and aspiring farmers looking to expand their skills. Through remote advisory features, users can engage with ADAFSA experts on topics like modern technologies and plant health.
Empowering the Agricultural Community
This initiative reaffirms ADAFSA's commitment to empowering the agricultural community in Abu Dhabi. By fostering a sustainable ecosystem that supports food security and innovation, ADAFSA aims to strengthen its position as a leader in digital innovation within the region.
ADAFSA invites those interested in agriculture to visit its pavilion at Global Food Week 2025 to explore "Ghars Educational Platform." This step marks a significant advancement in agricultural education that reinforces Abu Dhabi’s leadership in sustainability.
