GDRFA Dubai Achieves Gold At Stevie Awards 2024 For Innovative Talent Planning System
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has received the Stevie Awards in the Gold Category for its innovative approach to human resources management. This recognition highlights GDRFA's leadership in talent management and organisational development. The award was presented at the 9th annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers 2024 in New York City, USA.
Major Brigadier Awad Al Awaim, Assistant General Director of Human Resources and Finance Sector at GDRFA Dubai, emphasised that integrating modern scientific principles into their framework has been crucial. "The Directorate has built a strong foundation and fostered an innovative work environment," he stated, highlighting their commitment to innovation as a key factor in their success.

The 'Organisational Development and Talent Planning System' project earned GDRFA this honour. This initiative focuses on managing organisational structures as a central component of organisational affairs, particularly in talent management. The project prioritises agility and flexibility within an integrated talent management framework.
The system combines organisational competence with strategic workforce planning. It is built on systematic foundations derived from scientific disciplines, incorporating principles of interdependence, integration, future foresight, analysis, and innovative business models.
Aisha Saeed Al Mazrouei and Maryam Mohammed Al Badawi accepted the award on behalf of GDRFA during the ceremony. They are heads of the Career Needs and Emiratization Department and Organisational Structures Department respectively. The event was attended by top executives from globally distinguished organisations in human resources management.
Al Awaim noted that GDRFA’s culture of innovation has led to developing numerous national talents and competencies. "A culture of innovation in business management systems leads to the development of numerous national talents," he added. This approach has helped them earn prestigious awards and global recognition.
