GCC General Secretariat Participates In UAE AI Camp To Enhance Youth Skills In Artificial Intelligence

The UAE Artificial Intelligence Camp 2025, organised by the National Programme for Artificial Intelligence and the National Programme for Coders, in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), hosted two workshops. These sessions aimed to boost participants' skills in artificial intelligence and future sciences, focusing on enhancing understanding and readiness for AI technologies.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the Office of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, stated that the camp exemplifies international and regional cooperation. It aims to enhance youth capabilities and direct their energy toward innovation and digital creativity. "The participation of the General Secretariat of the GCC in the camp comes within the framework of supporting joint Gulf cooperation in the fields of digital transformation and artificial intelligence," he said.

GCC Joins UAE AI Camp to Boost Skills

The workshops delved into several crucial topics, including AI agents' roles and practical use cases related to government functions. Participants learned about AI agents' nature, their operation, and how they might replace or support human-like roles. The sessions also explored how these agents function practically.

Since its inception, the UAE Artificial Intelligence Camp has attracted over 34,000 participants from various educational levels and backgrounds. These individuals engaged in diverse activities such as training workshops and discussion sessions designed to develop skills using cutting-edge technological solutions.

Dr. Al Mahmoud emphasised that regional collaboration is vital for enhancing technological readiness. It helps unify efforts towards a sustainable digital future that aligns with rapid developments and meets societal aspirations. The camp's initiatives cover seven main themes: AI's future; data science; machine learning; smart applications in education, healthcare, finance; web development; robotics; AI governance; ethics; cybersecurity; virtual reality; augmented reality.

The workshops aimed to improve participants' abilities by sharing best practices for identifying and evaluating AI use cases. They provided insights into factors contributing to successful AI implementation while offering practical models and global examples applicable across various entities.

The involvement of the GCC General Secretariat underscores support for joint Gulf cooperation in digital transformation and artificial intelligence fields. This collaboration strengthens technological readiness across the region.
