G42 Supercharged 2025 Event In Abu Dhabi Highlights AI Innovations And Global Partnerships
G42's major event, Supercharged, attracted over 2,400 attendees, including employees, partners, and global leaders to Abu Dhabi. The gathering focused on discussions about creating a future powered by AI. Celebrating its seventh anniversary, G42 showcased achievements like Stargate UAE and the upcoming five-gigawatt UAE–US AI Campus. Conversations revolved around making AI a practical tool that is "always on and always learning".
Virtually joining the event, Microsoft president Brad Smith and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman commended the UAE partnership. Smith highlighted Microsoft's US$1.5 billion investment as a testament to their confidence in G42's team and vision. Altman reflected on G42's early recognition of AI's potential.

Peng Xiao, G42 group CEO, emphasized the need for worldwide cooperation in this "golden age of intelligence". He suggested redefining AI as "alternative" or "accelerated" intelligence to focus on human-centric development. Marty Edelman, G42 group general counsel, was honoured with the inaugural G42 Catalyst Award for his role in forming key partnerships with US tech companies and co-chairing G42 Europe and UK.
Health, space, cybersecurity, and clean energy were also prominent topics. Mansoor Al Mansoori from the Department of Health shared plans to use AI and genomics to extend healthy lifespans. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti from the UAE Cybersecurity Council highlighted national progress in digital resilience.
Alex Kipman, founder of Analog, presented edge-computing technologies developed in Abu Dhabi. This included an impressive display featuring eight "robodogs". Panels on responsible AI introduced initiatives like Bee:Wild, which uses advanced technology to safeguard pollinators.
G42 launched a refreshed brand identity along with an AI-driven website offering voice- and text-based navigation. The event set a regional record with 150 metres of LED screens complemented by immersive 3D audio experiences.
Culmination of the Event
The day concluded with Peng Xiao capturing a selfie with attendees. This was followed by a global culinary experience and live performances. Five university students from the UAE attended after winning a competition for emerging AI talent. This highlighted G42’s dedication to nurturing future innovators.
