G42, a prominent technology holding group based in the UAE, has confirmed its participation in GITEX GLOBAL 2024, scheduled from 14th to 18th October. The company plans to introduce an innovative concept known as the 'Intelligence Grid,' which aims to revolutionise scalable AI solutions across key sectors like government, healthcare, and energy. This initiative underscores G42's commitment to advancing AI technology responsibly and sustainably.

Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42, will discuss the 'Intelligence Grid' concept during a fireside chat on the Main Stage on Tuesday, 15th October. This presentation will delve into how this new approach can integrate AI into daily life, making it as essential as electricity. The Intelligence Grid is designed to offer knowledge and capabilities on demand through a scalable infrastructure.

G42 has strengthened its position in the AI sector through strategic partnerships with major US tech firms like NVIDIA, Cerebras, and OpenAI. Additionally, the company has secured a significant investment of US$1.5 billion from Microsoft. These collaborations highlight G42's role at the forefront of innovative AI development.

The company's ecosystem includes leading portfolio companies specialising in various AI and technology fields. Four of these companies will have standalone exhibits at GITEX: Space42 focuses on satellite communications and geospatial analytics; Core42 offers sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure solutions; Presight is a data analytics firm powered by generative AI; Khazna provides AI-ready data centre infrastructure.

Faheem Ahamed, Group Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of G42, emphasised their vision for AI as an indispensable utility. A notable example is their partnership with Microsoft to establish two Responsible AI centres in Abu Dhabi.

Ahamed also highlighted GITEX's significance for G42 as a UAE-based firm. As the event's lanyard sponsor, they aim to use this platform to educate and collaborate with industry peers. The event remains a key highlight in their calendar for showcasing advancements and engaging with talent.

Research Initiatives

In line with its research partnerships with institutions like Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), G42 plans to launch a landmark AI research report on 16th October at their stand. This report will explore AI's transformative impact on sports, focusing on recent developments and future potential.

Inception, another entity under G42's umbrella, will demonstrate its contributions to advanced specialised AI models at the event. This includes large language models (LLMs) that drive innovation across various sectors.

The company's initiatives align with the broader UAE AI Strategy 2031. By building an ecosystem of specialised companies, G42 aims to achieve its ambitious goals for integrating AI into everyday life while supporting national objectives.
