Future Health Initiative Launches To Transform Abu Dhabi Global Health Week Into Year-Round Global Platform
Under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi has launched Future Health, a global initiative by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH). This initiative transforms Abu Dhabi Global Health Week into a continuous platform for international health collaboration and innovation. It aims to create a connected ecosystem of ideas, investment, and action throughout the year.
Future Health will focus on four key themes: Longevity and Precision Health, Health System Resilience and Sustainability, Digital Health and AI, and Investment in Life Sciences. These areas will guide the development of solutions that promote longer, healthier lives for everyone. The initiative will also host its annual flagship event, the Future Health Summit in Abu Dhabi, from 7-9 April 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

The initiative seeks to unite leaders from various sectors such as policy, technology, research, philanthropy, and investment. By doing so, it aims to design, fund, and scale solutions that address pressing health challenges globally. This shift from annual gatherings to a continuous ecosystem enables sustained collaboration and impact.
Future Health will drive measurable outcomes by co-creating programmes that test and scale solutions. It will conduct research to identify future priorities and facilitate regular global dialogues fostering cross-sector collaboration. Additionally, it will publish reports capturing key developments in the global health landscape.
Founding partners of Future Health include M42, Mubadala Bio, PureHealth, and the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi (IHLAD). Mediclinic joins as a strategic partner while Burjeel Holdings serves as a thematic partner. These organisations form the core of a diverse coalition committed to driving measurable health impact globally.

Pioneering Scientific Projects
The initiative will advance pioneering scientific projects in longevity medicine by integrating cutting-edge research in genomics and precision diagnostics. This approach aims to enhance human health span proactively through innovative clinical practices.
Dr Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of DoH – Abu Dhabi said: "Future Health builds on Abu Dhabi’s position as a catalyst for global health progress. With advancements in genomics, AI, life sciences and precision medicine we are shaping a model of health that is inclusive innovative sustainable."
Building on Past Successes
Abu Dhabi has already hosted over 500 speakers from nearly 100 countries with more than 25,000 participants attending previous global health gatherings. The city launched the world’s first Declaration on Longevity Precision Medicine established one of four global vaccine distribution hubs strengthening equitable vaccine access regional security.
Over two years more than 50 agreements have been signed advancing clinical research vaccine development digital innovation further solidifying Abu Dhabi’s role as leader healthcare transformation worldwide.
Through Future Health Abu Dhabi is shaping more connected resilient global ecosystem driving innovation investment collaboration delivering lasting impact communities worldwide.
