Future 100 Companies Of 2024 Unveiled At Investopia 2025 In Abu Dhabi
The Future 100 initiative, a collaboration between the Ministry of Economy and the Office of Government Development and the Future, has unveiled the Future100 companies for 2024. This list highlights the top 100 start-ups boosting the UAE's future economy sectors. The announcement took place during Investopia 2025 in Abu Dhabi, attended by key figures like Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Alia bint Abdullah Al Mazrouei, and Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi.
Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri emphasised the UAE's progress in new economic sectors, driven by its leadership's vision. He stated: "Thanks to the directives of its wise leadership, the UAE has made great strides towards transforming into new economic sectors. Since its launch, Investopia has adopted a forward-looking vision to support the growth of innovative start-up businesses and encourage them to use modern technology applications in various vital economic sectors."

Alia Al Mazrouei highlighted that the Future100 initiative aligns with the UAE's goal of a dynamic global economy. She noted an 11% rise in applications for 2024 compared to 2023, mainly from financial technology, sustainability, and creative industries. The initiative helps entrepreneurs expand their projects in sustainable economy sectors and connect with global investors.
Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi discussed the UAE's approach to future readiness through sector flexibility and innovation. She said: "The UAE adopts an integrated approach to shaping the future, based on enhancing the flexibility and readiness of various sectors." The initiative supports start-ups in fields like space, cybersecurity, sustainability, and smart mobility since its inception in 2023.
The Future100 initiative continues to build partnerships with government bodies, innovation funds, tech firms, banks, business accelerators, and venture capitalists. Notable partners include Majra National Fund for Social Responsibility and Dubai Future District Fund. These collaborations enhance start-ups' access to investment networks and opportunities for digital transformation.
The Minister of State for Government Development and the Future congratulated selected start-ups for 2024. She expressed gratitude to 38 private sector partners for their crucial role in the initiative's success. The partnerships provide unprecedented incentives and facilities that aid start-ups in reaching new markets.
Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi added: "The Future100 initiative embodies a company from the future, the leadership’s directions and visions." It aims to boost future sectors' development while positioning the UAE as a hub for creativity and innovation.
The initiative also plays a key role in achieving "We the Emirates 2031" vision goals by fostering a knowledge-based economy ready for future challenges. It acts as an incubator for emerging industries while supporting national efforts towards economic transformation.
