Fujairah Martial Arts Club Receives Excellence In Social Responsibility Award From UK Green Organisation For 2025

The Fujairah Martial Arts Club (FMAC) has been honoured with the "Excellence in Social Responsibility" award for 2025 by the Green Organisation in the UK. This accolade highlights FMAC's dedication to community service and social sustainability through sports, aligning with the UAE's declaration of 2025 as the "Year of Community."

FMAC's success is largely attributed to its innovative "Future Generations" programme. This initiative aims to identify and nurture young martial arts talents. By forming strategic alliances with local schools, FMAC promotes sports as a tool for character development and instilling community values.

In its mission to encourage widespread athletic participation, FMAC launched a sports season featuring six diverse races. These events are open to all age groups, from children to seniors, fostering social interaction and promoting sports as a lifestyle choice.

Additionally, FMAC has organised various workshops and community programmes. These initiatives focus on promoting safety in sports and educating players, coaches, and parents about ethical practices within the sporting field.

This award places FMAC among the leading sports institutions in the region for social responsibility. Nader Abu Shawish, Director of FMAC, expressed gratitude: "We dedicate this achievement to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, our key supporter, whose vision inspires our community and sports initiatives."

Abu Shawish further stated: "Winning this award in the Year of Community strengthens our commitment to serving our local society and empowering future generations." He emphasised that this recognition results from collective efforts by their administrative, technical, and volunteer teams.
