Fujairah Crown Prince Emphasises Legislative Development To Boost Government Performance

The Government of Fujairah is preparing to apply Human Resources Law No. 2 of 2025, after H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi underlined the role of modern legislation in raising government performance, strengthening institutional efficiency, and supporting long-term sustainability goals.

The new Human Resources Law is designed as a unified reference for all government entities in the emirate, setting clear rules for employment, workplace practices, and administrative processes, with the intention of improving job performance, protecting rights, and creating a more supportive working environment.

One of the most notable changes in Human Resources Law No. 2 of 2025 is the extension of maternity leave from 60 days to 90 days, aligning leave benefits with wider social priorities and offering greater support to employees during family-related periods, alongside other benefits linked to structured salary frameworks.
