Fujairah Crown Prince Discusses Achievements Of World's Coolest Winter Campaign For Sustainable Tourism
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, recently met with Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, at the Emiri Diwan. The meeting included discussions on enhancing tourism and economic sectors in the UAE.
The Crown Prince praised the Ministry of Economy's efforts to boost these sectors and improve their global competitiveness. He also reviewed the outcomes of the fifth season of the World's Coolest Winter campaign, themed ‘Green Tourism’. This initiative was organised with various local tourism authorities and the National Agricultural Centre.
The campaign aimed to highlight the UAE’s natural beauty and diverse environments, promoting domestic tourism and strengthening the national economy. It also sought to position the UAE as a leading global travel destination by showcasing its unique landscapes and landmarks.
During discussions, Fujairah's Crown Prince stressed the importance of strategic national projects that align with the UAE’s vision for sustainable tourism development. He highlighted efforts to raise awareness about eco-friendly practices and create a tourism ecosystem that involves both individuals and institutions in sustainability initiatives.
The Crown Prince reaffirmed Fujairah's commitment to supporting coordinated efforts under H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi's directives. These efforts focus on multi-stakeholder collaboration to advance the UAE’s tourism investment strategy and promote comprehensive national development across various sectors.
The Minister of Economy expressed gratitude for the warm reception and support from Fujairah's Crown Prince towards tourism development projects in Fujairah. Several officials were present during this meeting, underscoring its significance in fostering future collaborations.
