Fujairah Crown Prince Witnesses Signing Of Cooperation Agreement To Advance Space Technology Projects
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, witnessed a significant agreement signing between Fujairah Government departments and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC). This event took place at his office in Emiri Diwan, Fujairah. The agreement aims to enhance collaboration in space technology projects within Fujairah and the UAE.
The agreement was signed by key figures including Salem Humaid AlMarri from MBRSC, Mohammed Saif Al Afkham of Fujairah Municipality, Eng. Hassan Al Yamahi of Dibba Al Fujairah Municipality, Eng. Ali Qasim of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, and Dr. Ahmed Almurshidi of the Fujairah GIS Centre. Their collective efforts focus on advancing space technology initiatives.
This collaboration will enable various services such as remote sensing technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) applications for environmental projects in Fujairah. Satellite imagery will be used to monitor infrastructure and track essential projects in the emirate. Additionally, research and scientific studies will be conducted to promote environmental sustainability.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad emphasised the importance of coordinated government efforts to foster innovation in space and technology. He referred to directives from H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, which stress launching innovative initiatives that support national projects and strengthen the UAE’s position in space and science fields.
The agreement aims to benefit multiple departments within the Fujairah Government. These include Fujairah Municipality, Civil Defence, Dibba Al Fujairah Municipality, GIS Centre, Natural Resources Corporation, Research Centre, Science Club, Free Zone Authority, Finance Department, Human Resources Department, and Tourism & Antiquities Department.
Salem Humaid AlMarri expressed gratitude for Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad's support for innovation and development. He stated that signing agreements with Fujairah entities aligns with MBRSC’s strategy to expand cooperation with local and international partners through space technology.

Mohammed Saif Al Afkham highlighted that this strategic partnership with MBRSC opens new opportunities in space exploration and technology development. It facilitates knowledge exchange and elevates innovation levels in the emirate.
The agreement includes data sharing among involved parties to explore technical collaboration opportunities. This approach aims to better understand each other's needs and achieve shared partnership goals.
Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi attended the signing ceremony as Director of the Office of H.H. the Crown Prince of Fujairah.
