Front End And Cluster 2 Airports Partner With EHang For AAVs In Saudi Arabia

In a significant move towards technological advancement, Front End Limited Company, provider of autonomy, AI, and digital transformation solutions, has entered into a partnership with EHang, renowned for its innovation in Autonomous Aerial Vehicles (AAVs).

This collaboration, marked by an MoU with Cluster 2 Airports, which oversees 22 airports within the Kingdom, signifies a major leap towards introducing autonomous air mobility on a large scale.

AAV Launch in Saudi Arabia by Front End and EHang

The partnership aims to revolutionise urban air mobility, with the initiative expected to catalyze the growth of a low-altitude economy. This emerging market is anticipated to burgeon into a $150–200 billion industry globally by 2030, with urban air mobility potentially contributing $25–30 billion.

The collaboration between Front End, Cluster 2 Airports, and EHang will see the deployment and localization of AAVs for passenger and logistics use, ensuring safety, compliance, and scalability through regional certification. An Urban Traffic Management (UTM) system is also set to be established, integrating AAV operations seamlessly into Saudi Arabia's urban airspaces.

Reflecting on the agreement, Majid Alghaslan, chairman & CEO of Front End, expressed his pride in leading Saudi Arabia into the new age of autonomous aerial mobility. He highlighted the collaboration with Cluster 2 Airports and EHang, supported by the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and the Ministry of Transport.

Alghaslan emphasised, "Front End is proud to lead Saudi Arabia into the era of autonomous aerial mobility. In partnership with Cluster 2 Airports and EHang (NASDAQ: EH), and with the support of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and the Ministry of Transport, we are not only testing concepts but certifying and deploying Autonomous Aerial Vehicles (AAVs) across the Kingdom.

"Together, we are building the foundations for the low-altitude economy, supported by Urban Traffic Management (UTM) systems, unlocking economic value, and positioning Saudi Arabia at the forefront of the world's most advanced mobility technologies."

This venture aligns perfectly with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which envisions innovation, logistics leadership, and sustainability as pivotal elements of the Kingdom's economic transformation. By transitioning to the operational use of AAV technology, Saudi Arabia sets the stage to become a regional leader in autonomous mobility.
