International Programme For Civil Aviation Leaders Kicks Off In The UAE With Global Participation

The General Civil Aviation Authority, in collaboration with the Government Experience Exchange Office, has initiated the fourth edition of the International Programme for Civil Aviation Leaders (TIPCAL). This event, which runs until 24th July, gathers over 22 prominent participants, including ministers and directors general from global civil aviation authorities. The programme underscores the UAE's leadership in aviation innovation and sustainability.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the GCAA Board of Directors, highlighted the UAE's commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability in civil aviation. He noted that this sector is crucial for enhancing national economic growth and competitiveness. The UAE is dedicated to strengthening international cooperation by sharing best practices in this vital field.

Civil Aviation Leaders Programme Launches in UAE

Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, stated that the UAE is a major global aviation hub and a leading producer of aviation fuel. He emphasised the country's dedication to promoting global collaboration and innovative solutions that ensure responsible growth in harmony with climate goals. The programme aims to empower future leaders and drive innovation within the aviation sector.

Al Mazrouei added that through TIPCAL and other national initiatives, the UAE reinforces its role as a trusted partner in shaping sustainable aviation. This involves integrating advanced technology, environmental responsibility, and human capital development to achieve long-term impacts.

Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, stressed that the UAE’s achievements in civil aviation serve as a model for knowledge-sharing with other nations. TIPCAL provides an open platform for collaboration, supporting growth in this essential sector.

Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, remarked that TIPCAL is dedicated to sharing best practices in civil aviation governance. It reflects the UAE’s commitment to fostering international dialogue and empowering leaders with practical knowledge for future governance challenges.

Programme Agenda Highlights

The fourth edition features participation from key UAE government figures such as Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Maryam Bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Saif Mohamed Al Suwaidi, and Abdulla Nasser Lootah. Distinguished speakers will present on government excellence and digital transformation within civil aviation leadership.
