Flydubai Cancels All Departing Flights From Dubai Due To Severe Weather
Severe weather conditions across the United Arab Emirates have led to significant operational disruptions for flydubai, particularly at Dubai International (DXB), a spokesperson for the airline confirmed today. The adverse weather, which is expected to persist into tomorrow, 17 April, has forced the cancellation or delay of numerous flights. In response to these challenges, flydubai has announced the immediate cancellation of all flights scheduled for departure from Dubai this evening, 16 April, until 10:00 (Dubai local time) on 17 April.
During this interruption, passengers not ending their journey in Dubai will be unable to commence their travel. The airline is actively monitoring the situation and plans to adjust its schedule to facilitate a swift return to normal operations and accommodate inbound flights from across its network wherever feasible. "This will allow us to restore operational continuity more efficiently and accommodate arriving flights from around the network where possible," stated the flydubai spokesperson.

For passengers holding bookings on cancelled flights, flydubai is offering a full refund, underscoring the airline's commitment to customer service during this period of disruption. The spokesperson added, "Our Customer Service teams are working extremely hard to minimise the disruption to our passengers’ travel schedule. The safety of our passengers and crew is always our priority. We apologise for the inconvenience caused as a result of the adverse weather."
The airline's proactive measures reflect its dedication to safety and customer care in the face of unforeseen challenges. As the situation evolves, flydubai remains focused on resuming its operations fully while ensuring the well-being of its passengers and staff.
