The increase in fleet size not only boosts operational capabilities but also strengthens Dubai's status as a key global aviation center by opening up access to underserved markets and providing more travel opportunities.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai's chief executive officer, said, "The arrival of these new aircraft is a testament to our long-term strategic vision and our confidence in the future of air travel. Our fleet investment supports our mission to offer greater choice, enhanced convenience, and improved connectivity for our passengers.

"These deliveries are part of a backlog extensively delayed in recent years, and despite receiving 12 aircraft this year, we remain 20 aircraft behind our original projections."

Al Ghaith further highlighted the airline's robust business model and ongoing commitment to reinforcing the UAE's status in the global aviation sector. He pointed out the potential for new destinations, operational optimization, and a larger role in promoting Dubai as an international aviation hub.

From April to August 2025, flydubai welcomed seven new aircraft into its fleet, raising the total to 93. This fleet expansion is instrumental in flydubai's efforts to broaden its reach and enhance service quality, underscoring the airline's strategic plan to grow its network and increase its market presence.

Al Ghaith also noted the continued support from financing partners, which underscores the airline's solid business strategy and its contribution to the UAE's aviation leadership. This backing is pivotal as flydubai looks to the future, with plans to further extend its destination network, streamline its operations, and bolster Dubai's growth as an aviation hub.
