Flag Day Celebrates Values Of Loyalty And Unity In The UAE: Insights From Abdulla Al Hamed

Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and UAE Media Council, highlighted the significance of Flag Day as a national event that strengthens loyalty and unity. He stated, "Flag Day honours the considerable efforts made by the wise leadership to position the UAE as an inspiring development model for progress across vital sectors regionally and globally, embracing various innovations while upholding the country’s steadfast values and principles."

Al Hamed expressed his heartfelt congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, the Emirati people, and all residents of the UAE.

The Chairman noted that on this special day, the UAE remembers the contributions of late leaders Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Their vision led to the formation of a united Emirates aimed at a competitive future. "Together, they laid the foundations of progress that have continued under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates. This union has driven the UAE’s impressive achievements, advancing it towards global excellence across diverse key sectors," he added.

Al Hamed emphasised that celebrating Flag Day is a reflection of national loyalty and unity with wise leadership. It serves as an inspiring model for unity between leaders and citizens. "Our flag represents our glory and pride, raised high like our ambitions that reach beyond the skies, dear to us as our own lives, fluttering with honour and pride."

He concluded his remarks by stating that both the flag and leadership are intertwined symbols representing identity and unity.
