Finland's President Stubb Receives UAE President's Message On Strengthening Bilateral Ties
Alexander Stubb, President of Finland, received a letter from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The letter focused on the relationship between Finland and the UAE. This message was handed over during a meeting in Helsinki between President Stubb and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During their meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also expressed his best wishes for Finland's progress and prosperity. In return, President Stubb asked Sheikh Abdullah to send his regards to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with his hopes for continued prosperity in the UAE.
The discussions centred on enhancing ties between the UAE and Finland. Both countries are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations this year. They explored new cooperation opportunities, especially in sectors like economy, education, renewable energy, and advanced technology.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah expressed pride in the growing relationship between the two nations. He highlighted their shared commitment to strengthening collaboration across key sectors aligned with both countries' development priorities.
Sheikh Abdullah also expressed his pleasure at visiting Finland during this significant milestone. He commended the steady growth in relations between the UAE and Finland over the years.
Sheikh Abdullah extended his gratitude to President Alexander Stubb for the warm welcome and generous hospitality he received during his visit. He wished Finland and its people continued success and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures from both countries. These included Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; Amna Mahmoud Fikri, UAE Ambassador to Finland; Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister for Advanced Science and Technology.
