Fifth Dubai Shoulder Surgery Conference Explores Innovative Techniques In Arthroscopic Surgery
The Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) is currently hosting the fifth Dubai Shoulder Surgery Conference and Exhibition. This event, organised by the Emirates Orthopedic Division in partnership with the Arab Shoulder and Elbow Society, runs from 25th to 27th October. It features participation from 18 different countries.
The conference's primary goal is to introduce new strategies that enhance doctors' skills in analytical, diagnostic, and therapeutic practices for laparoscopic shoulder surgery. Infoplus Events is responsible for organising this gathering, which includes contributions from 48 regional and international lecturers.

Dr. Saeed Al-Thani, President of the Arab Society of Shoulder and Attachment, emphasised the conference's focus on reviewing new principles and techniques. Topics include peri-shoulder injuries, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, joint implantation, fracture management, and complex shoulder issues.
Dr. Al-Thani highlighted that the event will convene faculty members and experts to discuss best-known practices. The latest technology and evidence-based research related to joint injury care will also be key discussion points during the conference.
The program features 16 scientific sessions, 85 lectures, four live surgeries, and three workshops for cadaver operations. Additionally, there is a physiotherapy workshop and three seminars for the industrial sector. More than 15 companies from leading pharmaceutical and medical device sectors are sponsoring these events.
Dr. Al-Thani stated that the conference will cover a wide range of topics such as injuries around the shoulder area, arthroscopic shoulder surgery techniques, joint implantation procedures, fracture management strategies, and complex causes affecting the shoulder.
This comprehensive approach aims to provide attendees with insights into cutting-edge practices in shoulder surgery. By bringing together experts from various fields, the conference seeks to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants.
