Federal Tax Authority Secures Advanced Innovation Certification From Global Body

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) of the United Arab Emirates has recently been distinguished with an international accolade for its innovative practices. The FTA has been awarded the "Certified Government Innovative Organisation - Advanced Level" by the Global Innovation Institute (GInI), a leading authority in the innovation sector. This recognition is particularly significant as it aligns with the FTA's participation in "UAE Innovation Month 2024", which took place throughout February.

This certification, which is endorsed in the United States and tailored specifically for government entities, highlights the FTA's efforts in fostering innovation within its operations. The award was presented to Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director-General of the Federal Tax Authority, by Mohamed Shahin, Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at GInI, during a ceremony at the FTA headquarters in Dubai. The event was attended by senior officials from the FTA.

FTA Awarded Global Innovation Certification

Al Bustani expressed his gratitude for this recognition, noting it as a significant milestone in the FTA's journey towards innovation and quality assurance. He emphasized that innovation is a key pillar in developing the UAE's tax system and improving its efficiency. The FTA's commitment to investing in its human resources is a testament to its dedication to enhancing services and achieving a leading position in the global tax sector.

The "Certified Government Innovative Organisation" certificate is awarded based on an institution's achievements in enhancing innovation skills and individual development. It requires the application of specialized methods and tools that meet the highest standards in the innovation field. This certification underscores the FTA's dedication to adopting advanced methodologies, trends, and strategies to promote innovation.

Al Bustani further stated that this achievement would serve as motivation for the FTA to intensify its efforts within its development plans. The aim is to further strengthen its services and contribute to positioning the UAE as a leading hub for global innovation. This accolade not only celebrates the FTA's current achievements but also sets a benchmark for future endeavors in innovation and progress.
