Fatima Bint Mubarak Welcomes Emine Erdoğan To Discuss Women's Empowerment And UAE-Türkiye Relations

H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the Mother of the Nation, welcomed Emine Erdoğan, wife of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. Emine Erdoğan is in the UAE for the Global Women's Forum - Dubai 2024, which started today in Dubai. The meeting underscored the strong ties between the UAE and Türkiye.

The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration between women's organisations in both nations to empower women and promote family stability. H.H. Sheikha Fatima highlighted the significant role women play in the UAE's development, attributing this to the unwavering support from the country's leadership.

The UAE ranks 7th globally and 1st regionally in the Gender Inequality Index 2024 by UNDP. This achievement reflects the UAE’s vision for an empowered future. The partnership with Türkiye aims to enhance women's empowerment and their societal roles.

Emine Erdoğan expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality she receives in the UAE. She commended H.H. Sheikha Fatima's pioneering efforts in empowering women and addressing various humanitarian issues. They both hope for success at the Global Women's Forum - Dubai 2024.
