Fatima Bint Mubarak International Show Jumping Cup Highlights Female Talent And Thrilling Competitions
The Fatima Bint Mubarak International Show Jumping Cup's 12th edition wrapped up on Sunday, spotlighting the newly added National category. This initiative aimed to empower female riders and strengthen their presence in national-level show jumping. The event was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak and guided by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
One of the standout moments on the final day was the One Round with Jump-Off (140 cm) competition, which offered a grand prize of AED55,000. Nina Carolina Barbour emerged victorious with a jump-off time of 37.99 seconds after completing the first round in 71.70 seconds. Her performance demonstrated remarkable skill and calmness under pressure.

Sheikha Latifa Ahmed Al Maktoum finished in second place, while Nadia Abdulaziz Taryam secured third, concluding an exhilarating contest that kept spectators engaged throughout. Earlier, Aya Safieddine claimed the top prize of AED30,000 in the One Round Against the Clock (120–125 cm) event with a swift time of 59.12 seconds.
Dr. Abdullah Ali Al Khori from the Presidential Court and Saeed Al Mehairi from Abu Dhabi Sports Council presented awards to winners in the local category, recognising their achievements and contributions to equestrian sports.
The Cup has firmly established itself as a key equestrian event in its 12th year, nurturing local talent and enhancing Abu Dhabi’s status as a global centre for equestrian excellence. The competition continues to attract attention and participation from top riders across the region.
This year's edition not only celebrated competitive spirit but also highlighted women's growing role in equestrian sports at a national level, aligning with broader efforts to promote gender equality in sports.
