Farida P Secures Victory At UAE President’s Cup For Arabian Horses In Sweden
The UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses, held at Gardet Turf Racecourse in Stockholm on June 6, 2025, saw Farida P clinch a significant victory. This event coincided with Sweden's National Day and drew over 50,000 spectators. The race is part of a series under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aiming to advance Arabian horse racing globally.
Farida P, owned and trained by Pieter Dekkers and ridden by Fabian Lefebvre, showcased an outstanding performance. The mare surged ahead in the final stretch to win the most prestigious Arabian horse race in Scandinavian history. The Listed race offered a prize of €100,000 and covered 1,500 metres on turf. Nine top Arabian horses from Sweden and Europe competed.

The UAE President’s Cup Series promotes the breeding and ownership of Arabian horses to preserve their heritage. It has established itself as a leading equestrian event across Europe and America. The Swedish leg marked the sixth race in the 32nd edition's calendar, highlighting its continued success on European circuits.
Wissam Al Khalediah secured second place in the race. Trained by Janusz Kozlowski and ridden by Per-Anders Graberg, Wissam Al Khalediah put up a strong challenge. Gindor de Bozouls finished third, owned by Omar Jorjar and trained by Elizabeth Bernard Jean-François with Mickael Forest as jockey.
The series supports a vision for developing Arabian horse racing worldwide. It empowers owners and breeders while promoting these noble horses' heritage. With its global identity among premier equestrian events, it shapes a new era for Arabian horse racing.
Farida P completed the race in 1:38.08 minutes, marking her 13th career victory and second UAE President’s Cup title after winning last year’s Dutch leg. Her lineage traces back to (Al Mourtajez x Hania Dea by Majd Al Arab), showcasing her strong pedigree.

The event was attended by notable figures including Faisal Al Rahmani, Secretary General of the Higher Organising Committee of the UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses; Ahmed Al Mansouri from the UAE Embassy in Sweden; Suhail Zbibi from the Swedish Arabian Horse Association; and Saeed Al Muhairi from the organising committee.
