Fabtech And Groupe M Forge Strategic Partnership To Advance UAE's Nuclear Energy Sector

Fabtech Engineering, a Dubai-based steel fabrication company, has partnered with France's Groupe M to boost innovation in the UAE's nuclear and sustainable energy sectors. This strategic agreement aims to enhance the UAE's Energy Strategy 2050. The signing ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Nicolas Niemtchinow, the French Ambassador to the UAE, and Saud Abu Alshawareb from Dubai Industrial City.

The collaboration will focus on developing engineering and manufacturing solutions for nuclear and sustainable energies. Fabtech’s Chairman, Dr. Harry Moraes, and Vice President Business Development, Fabien Jeoffroy, signed the agreement with Groupe M’s Chairman, Julien Monteiro, and Deputy CEO Pierre-Laurent Buch. This partnership is expected to support the UAE's long-term energy goals.

Pierre-Laurent Buch of Groupe M highlighted that this agreement strengthens ties between the UAE and France. He stated: "This landmark agreement opens doors to exciting new opportunities in the Middle East and builds upon the robust ties between the UAE and France. Fabtech’s strong presence in Dubai Industrial City, coupled with its expertise, aligns with Groupe M’s growth strategy." The collaboration aims to expand within nuclear and new energy sectors by leveraging combined expertise.

Fabien Jeoffroy from Fabtech emphasised the importance of Dubai Industrial City's infrastructure for their expansion plans. He said: "This milestone partnership with Groupe M represents a pivotal moment in our growth strategy. Dubai Industrial City’s world-class infrastructure, including an excellent road network designed for efficient transport of large-scale components, will be instrumental in our expansion journey."

As part of their commitment to sustainability and innovation, Fabtech plans to upgrade its 2.1 million sq.ft. facility at Dubai Industrial City. This move aligns with their goal of supporting environmentally responsible industrial growth through local solutions. The partnership is set to expedite site support operations while addressing demand for locally sourced products.

Saud Abu Alshawareb from TECOM Group PJSC remarked on nurturing local knowledge for a sustainable industrial sector: "Nurturing homegrown knowledge is crucial for creating a vibrant and sustainable industrial sector." He noted that Dubai Industrial City's ecosystem supports innovators and collaborations like this one between Fabtech and Groupe M.
