ExpoCulinaire 2024 Concludes Successfully With Increased Global Participation
The sixth edition of the ExpoCulinaire exhibition, hosted by Expo Centre Sharjah (ECS) from 20th to 22nd May, concluded successfully on Wednesday. Supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the event saw a 30 percent increase in exhibitors and welcomed over 3,500 chefs from around the globe.
Organised by Purple Kitchen Events, ExpoCulinaire 2024 experienced a significant surge in visitor turnout. The exhibition featured top-tier professionals and enthusiasts from the cooking, food, hospitality, culinary, and tourism sectors. Over three days, it showcased products and services including restaurant service equipment, bakery supplies, storage systems, and tableware.

More than 200 companies and brands participated, representing leading regional and global names in the food and hospitality industries. The event brought together industry leaders and major investors, offering a platform to explore the latest trends in hospitality and tourism.
ExpoCulinaire 2024 provided opportunities for businessmen to exchange knowledge, forge business deals, and establish partnerships in the hospitality sector. It also supplied food products and ingredients to restaurants and hotels.
The exhibition highlighted the skills of top chefs and culinary experts who presented dishes from famous cuisines worldwide. Participants included professionals from the UAE, Iraq, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Iran, Azerbaijan, China, Denmark, and other countries.
Exhibiting companies introduced new healthy food products aligning with the UAE's vision for sustainability. This reflects the event's ability to cater to diverse visitor interests while promoting sustainability within the culinary sector.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, noted that ExpoCulinaire 2024 is a significant event reflecting growing interest in the hospitality sector. He highlighted that the exhibition has become a global platform for professional chefs and specialised businesses to showcase their latest products and services.
Competitions and Emirati Cuisine
A substantial number of Emirati chefs participated in top-billed competitions at ExpoCulinaire 2024. Resident chefs showcased Emirati cuisine, promoting its unique qualities to attendees. The event saw a marked increase in competition participants.
The 27th Emirates International Salon Culinaire featured 928 chefs competing for top honours. Organised by the Emirates Culinary Guild with support from the Sharjah Chamber, this competition marked an increase from the previous edition's 400 participants. The strong turnout led to registration closing two weeks before the exhibition started.
