Adventure And Camping Exhibition 2024 Opens At Expo Al Dhaid With Record Exhibitor Turnout

The Adventure and Camping Exhibition's sixth edition commenced at Expo Al Dhaid, marking a record turnout with nearly 60 exhibitors, a 50% increase from last year. The event, supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and overseen by Expo Centre Sharjah, will continue until 3rd November 2024. This year's exhibition showcases over 200 major brands specialising in camping, outdoor equipment, and marine excursions.

Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi inaugurated the event, joined by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah. Other notable attendees included Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of SCCI, several board members from the Sharjah Chamber, Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, and Mohammad Musabah Al Tunaiji, Director of Expo Al Dhaid.

The exhibition spans approximately 2,800 square metres and features over 10,000 products related to camping and outdoor sports. Visitors can explore hunting and fishing gear alongside safety devices for camping. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais highlighted the event's role in promoting adventure tourism and enhancing Sharjah’s tourism sector. He noted its importance as a key economic resource for the emirate.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa emphasised the significance of this year's broad participation from top camping and adventure companies. He stated that the exhibition provides an unmatched opportunity for businesses to present their products directly to visitors and safari enthusiasts. This annual event has become a premier destination for those interested in adventure and outdoor activities.

The opening day saw many visitors eager to explore various adventure gear and accessories. Items such as tents, cooking utensils, chairs, and full camping sets were available at competitive prices with attractive discounts. Attendees could connect directly with companies specialising in wilderness equipment while engaging with hunting and desert sports enthusiasts.

This year’s edition stands out due to its diverse range of exhibitors. Companies specialising in travel trailers, mobile homes, camping safety devices, motorcycles, four-wheelers, marine sports equipment, hunting gear are participating. The exhibition also highlights Sharjah’s top tourist destinations known for their stunning landscapes.

A Platform for Outdoor Enthusiasts

The Adventure and Camping Exhibition serves as an excellent platform for off-roading enthusiasts to discover new products. It also offers insights into recent developments in outdoor tourism along with innovations in camping equipment. The event is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00 except on Fridays when it opens from 15:00 to 23:00.

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais stated that the exhibition has solidified its position as one of Expo Al Dhaid's most significant events. It has evolved into a leading specialised exhibition for camping activities in the UAE region. The event attracts new visitors to central Sharjah which boasts unique archaeological landmarks.
