Etihad Credit Insurance Surpasses AED 10 Billion In Coverage And Guarantees For 2025
Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI) has achieved significant milestones this year, as stated by CEO Raja Al Mazrouei. The company has provided coverages and guarantees exceeding AED10 billion. Additionally, the value of goods and services exported and insured through ECI has surpassed AED15 billion. These figures highlight ECI's role in supporting the UAE's export sector.
Al Mazrouei highlighted ECI's efforts to bolster small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) via the "Xport Xponential" initiative. This programme has facilitated over AED175 million in financing for SMEs, connecting them to four international markets with export potential exceeding AED4 billion. Such initiatives are crucial for expanding the reach of Emirati companies globally.

"At Etihad Credit Insurance, we continue to support Emirati companies as they expand beyond the country, and we are pleased to have achieved these record figures in guarantees and in the value of insured products," said Al Mazrouei. Her statement underscores ECI's commitment to aiding local businesses in their international ventures.
ECI has recently enhanced its technological infrastructure by integrating over 400 million corporate data records worldwide. This advancement allows the company to assess trade risks for each country targeted by UAE exporters, thereby providing better support and insights for businesses looking to expand internationally.
Looking ahead, Al Mazrouei anticipates that 2026 will bring additional economic partnerships for the UAE. These partnerships are expected to open up new markets for exports, further boosting opportunities for local businesses. The focus on expanding into new markets aligns with ECI's strategic goals.
Expanding Partnerships within SME Ecosystem
The "Xport Xponential" programme is set to offer increased support for SMEs in the coming years. Currently collaborating with more than 50 partners within the SME financing ecosystem, ECI plans to add new partners soon. This expansion aims to provide even greater resources and opportunities for SMEs seeking growth beyond domestic borders.
The achievements of Etihad Credit Insurance reflect its dedication to enhancing the UAE's export capabilities and supporting local businesses in their global endeavours. By leveraging technology and forming strategic partnerships, ECI continues to play a pivotal role in driving economic growth through exports.
