Etihad Airways Partners With Tourism Authority Of Thailand To Boost Global Tourism Efforts
Etihad Airways has entered into a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the Tourism Authority of Thailand. This agreement, signed at the Arabian Travel Market 2025, aims to enhance ties between Thailand and the UAE's national airline. The collaboration seeks to boost tourism to Thailand using Etihad's global reach.
The MoC aligns with Etihad's goal of offering exceptional travel experiences. Both parties will promote high-quality travel in Thailand through joint activities and marketing efforts. This partnership highlights Etihad's commitment to expanding its presence in the Thai market.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, stated, "Thailand is a very important market for Etihad, this is demonstrated by our continued expansion into the market with two new destinations this year, and further by this Memorandum of Cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to drive leisure travel. This agreement will help further strengthen our relationship with the Kingdom of Thailand and Etihad’s position in the market, reinforcing our commitment to deliver extraordinary travel experiences."
Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, expressed optimism about the partnership. "Our partnership with Etihad marks a significant milestone in advancing Thailand’s position as a preferred global destination. With Etihad’s extensive network and world-class service, we are confident that this collaboration will inspire more travellers to explore the rich culture, natural beauty, and wellness offerings of Thailand. Together, we aim to deliver unforgettable experiences and reinforce Thailand’s appeal as a year-round destination for international visitors."
Last year, Etihad announced plans to add two new Thai destinations among 16 new routes launching this year. Flights to Krabi will commence in October, followed by Chiang Mai in November. These additions will bolster Etihad's existing routes to Bangkok and Phuket.
This strategic expansion underscores Etihad's dedication to strengthening its foothold in Thailand. By increasing connectivity between these regions, both organisations hope to attract more international tourists.
The collaboration between Etihad Airways and the Tourism Authority of Thailand aims not only to increase visitor numbers but also to enrich their travel experiences. Through shared initiatives and promotions, they seek to highlight Thailand's cultural richness and natural beauty.
