Etihad Airways Expands Its Network With Ten New Destinations In 2025

Etihad Airways, the UAE's national airline, is set to introduce ten new routes in 2025. The destinations include Algiers, Atlanta, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Krabi, Medan, Phnom Penh, Taipei, and Tunis. These will join the previously announced routes to Prague, Warsaw, and Al Alamein.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, stated: "Launching ten new destinations in a single day underscores our unwavering commitment to growing our airline with a fantastic route network and world-class, customer-focused service. This incredible milestone would not have been possible without the extraordinary efforts of our team and the ongoing support of our guests."

The expansion is expected to significantly increase visitor numbers to Abu Dhabi. This aligns with the city's strategy to enhance its appeal as a top destination for leisure and business travellers. The move also strengthens Abu Dhabi's role as a global hub for connectivity and innovation.

Neves highlighted that Zayed International Airport supports this expansion. He remarked on its capacity to handle growth while enhancing guest experiences: "The launch of these ten destinations is supported by our impressive hub, Zayed International Airport, which boasts the 'wow' factor and ample space to accommodate our rapid growth."

In 2025, Etihad plans to operate over 90 routes across more than 50 countries. The airline will utilise a fleet exceeding 110 aircraft, including new A321LRs. This expansion aims to welcome over 20 million passengers onboard.

Etihad's strategic growth will bring over a million visitors to Abu Dhabi. This influx will boost the local economy and reinforce the city’s status as a leading cultural and tourism centre in the region.
