Etihad Airways And Burjeel Holdings Collaborate To Strengthen Abu Dhabi As A Medical Tourism Hub

Etihad Airways, the UAE's national airline, has partnered with Burjeel Holdings to boost Abu Dhabi's reputation as a medical tourism hub. This collaboration aims to provide international patients with top-tier healthcare and enhance medical services for Etihad staff and their families. The agreement was signed by Dr. Muntaser Husein from Etihad and Dr. Mohammad Qaddoura from Burjeel Holdings.

The partnership combines Burjeel’s medical expertise with Etihad’s global reach to attract more medical tourists to Abu Dhabi. It also establishes referral pathways for international patients, ensuring direct case management and clinician access. This initiative supports Abu Dhabi's goal of becoming a leading destination for medical tourism by offering high-quality healthcare solutions.

Enhancing Abu Dhabi's Medical Tourism with Etihad and Burjeel

Burjeel Holdings will provide comprehensive healthcare coverage for Etihad employees and their families through its network of hospitals in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. "This collaboration will streamline medical services for international travelers seeking specialised treatment in Abu Dhabi," stated Dr. Muntaser Husein.

As part of the agreement, Burjeel will introduce health awareness programmes and wellness lectures to promote employee well-being. Priority access to medical services will be granted, ensuring streamlined procedures and enhanced healthcare privileges for all Etihad employees.

Dr. Mohammad Qaddoura remarked, "Joining hands with Etihad Airways strengthens our commitment to positioning Abu Dhabi as a premier destination for medical tourism." He emphasized that integrating Burjeel’s healthcare expertise with Etihad’s global network creates a seamless system for accessing high-quality treatment.

Commitment to Medical Tourism

The collaboration reflects Burjeel Holdings’ dedication to expanding healthcare accessibility in the UAE. Last year, they launched the 24/7 Burjeel Airport Clinic at Zayed International Airport, providing continuous medical support to travelers, airport staff, and international patients requiring specialized care.

This partnership not only enhances healthcare access but also ensures that every traveler, employee, and family member can receive world-class medical care efficiently. By working together, both organisations aim to make Abu Dhabi a top choice for those seeking exceptional healthcare services.
