Etihad Airways Achieves Landmark Milestone Of 300 Daily Passenger Flights
Etihad Airways has achieved a significant milestone by operating 300 scheduled passenger flights daily. This marks over 20% growth compared to the previous year, solidifying its status as one of the fastest-growing full-service airlines globally. The accomplishment highlights Etihad's robust operational performance, network expansion, and consistent passenger demand.
In September 2025, Etihad transported 1.9 million passengers, a 21% increase from the same month in the previous year, maintaining a load factor of 89%. Over the first nine months of 2025, the airline flew 16.1 million passengers, representing an 18% rise year-on-year.

The airline has introduced or announced 31 new destinations this year, including Medan, Phnom Penh, Addis Ababa, and Krabi. This expansion brings its network close to 90 destinations. The fleet has grown to 115 aircraft from 96 in September 2024, with new additions like A350s, 787 Dreamliners, A380s, and A321LRs featuring private First Suites and lie-flat Business Class seats.
Captain Majed Al Marzouqi, Chief Operations and Guest Officer at Etihad Airways, stated that the airline’s expansion reflects one of the fastest growth trajectories in the global aviation industry. "We are expanding destinations, our fleet, and our talented workforce towards our goal of making Etihad the airline everyone wants to fly. This milestone was made possible through our people’s dedication and the trust of our guests," he said.
Zayed International Airport supports Etihad's growth with its modern infrastructure and streamlined passenger experience. The airport can accommodate up to 45 million travellers annually and features advanced biometric systems that allow kerb-to-gate movement in just 12 minutes.
Etihad continues to invest in talent by hiring 1,700 new employees in the first half of 2025 and promoting over 1,100 staff across various departments. Its UAE National Talent Strategy aims to double its Emirati workforce within five years. This initiative underscores its commitment to developing national talent while supporting Abu Dhabi's role as a global aviation hub.
The airline's achievements reflect its strategic focus on expanding its network and enhancing customer experience through modern infrastructure and a skilled workforce. These efforts position Etihad as a leading player in the competitive global aviation market.
